J.Viewz has moved on from vegetables, and has decided to harness the power of rain to make beautiful music.
Last month, he teamed up with Björk’s musical roboticist Andy Cavatorta and Austrian uber-percussionist Manu Delago to bring Snapple Real Fact #453 to life.
The fact: “Raindrops can fall as fast as 20 miles per hour.”
The result: A device called an “organic looper” that uses the speed and weight of rain to create beautiful music.
The 31-yr-old Israeli-born Brooklynite explains it as a “chain reaction-type device” which allows rain to pass through mini-turbines that each trigger a different sample at different speeds.
